St. Mary’s School is a community of parents, educators, and students. By working together and in partnership with parents, our staff is able to help each student reach his or her fullest potential.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved, volunteer, and help make this school great. Our history has been filled with parental involvement, and that has allowed us to offer many opportunities to our students that might not otherwise be available to them. As a parent, one of the best ways to demonstrate to a child the importance of education is to become involved in it.
In order to volunteer in the classroom or be a field trip chaperone, you must complete the VIRTUS training and background check. There is no cost to you. We offer the training in Owatonna every few months, but you can attend a session at an area location if it works better for your schedule.
Here are just some of the volunteer possiblities at St. Mary's School:
Lunch room helper
Volunteers are needed to assist and supervise students during their lunch period. Volunteers also wipe off tables in between classes and assure students leave at their scheduled time and in a respectful manner.
Benefit Breakfasts

Special Events and Activities
