Congratulations 2nd grader Calvin and 6th grader Shreemayi for being this week's Shining Knights! Thanks for living out the SMS values each and every day.

The 5th graders hold a bake sale every year with proceeds benefiting a charity or someone in need. This year they raised $619!

Students helped Mrs. Swanson celebrate her birthday all day long!

Preparing for Easter at St. Mary's takes place in many different ways. The Preschoolers have a fun tradition of coloring Easter eggs! The 2-day, 3-day, and 4-day friends have been busy creating some beautiful eggs!!!

On Friday, March 16 over 110 SMS students in grades 5-8 took part in our 10th annual Baby Ball tournament, with proceeds benefiting Birthright of Owatonna. The event was full of fun and energy, and helped support a good cause - raising $1219!

Congratulations 1st grader Charlotte and 2nd grader Marcus for being recognized for being kind and thoughtful friends!

14 SMS band kids spent the day making music with other kids from SE Minnesota. Then they performed for their families! They were great representatives of our school!

Both stops were very educational. St. Mary's School is proud to have received many compliments during the day around how well-behaved our students were and the quality of questions they asked.

7th & 8th Graders spent the day at the Science Museum to enhance the current theme of Diversity in Religion & Language Arts. They experienced a play performance “A Race to the Finish Line” and they were able to tour the exhibit “Race: Why are we so different?”.

Our 3-day preschool enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day party today! They didn't catch any leprechauns, but many tracks were made in their room...

In 1998, Saint John's Abbey and University commissioned renowned calligrapher Donald Jackson to produce a hand-written, hand-illuminated Bible. Our students were able to view this work of art that unites an ancient Benedictine tradition with the technology and vision of today, illuminating the Word of God for a new millennium.

The Children's Museum was a great place for the Kindergartners to be! Lots of energy and excitement!

The 4th graders came a long way! They performed a great show at their Recorder Concert!

We had the pleasure of Bishop Quinn leading Mass today, helping us celebrate our 140 years! After, we all enjoyed birthday cupcakes! Thank you to all who have chosen SMS over the past 140 years!

At the upcoming Night of Knights Auction (4/14/18), Federated Insurance will be matching dollar for dollar, up to $100,000, during the Spirit of the Knight give. Catch the spirit! THANK YOU Federated Insurance!

Congratulations to our Shining Knights this week: 5th grader Alia and 6th grader Lola! They are recognized for their excellence and kindness.

The 1st graders did an amazing job with their Poetry Coffeehouse today! Great job!!!
