This fall St. Mary’s School will be undergoing a state visit/audit of our lunch program. In preparation for this visit St. Mary’s School did some work with Mary Urch, Steele County Public Nurse, to update our Wellness Policy, a requirement for the visit. While working with Mary Urch we learned about the Steele County SHIP mini grant opportunity. St. Mary’s School applied and is excited to announce we were granted funding to purchase three water filling/fountain stations. The water filling/fountain stations have been installed on the 1st floor and 2nd floor of the elementary wing and in the cafeteria. The one on the 2nd floor of the elementary was installed when school was still in session and the one on the first floor of the elementary and cafeteria was just installed in June.
