8th Grade Graduation

This week we celebrated the SMS journey of our 8th grade students. We began with Mass, shared a meal, heard adults and students share their wisdom, and ended the evening with a beautiful family blessing.

8th Graders will be leaving as a group for week-long mission work in the Minneapolis area. 

We are grateful for these opportunities to celebrate God's grace in our lives.

Thursday, June 2^nd was our 8^th grade graduation.  Mass was held at Sacred Heart followed by the graduation banquet at St. Mary’s School in the cafeteria. The invocation was done by Bill and Kris Dublin. Dinner was provided by the Home & School Association with grade 7 moms and a few grade 7 students doing the serving. Maggie Mondo and Rhianna Sarac were the student speakers, Father McGrath gave the message from St. Mary’s School, Mrs. Nylund presented the Academic Presidential Awards, Ryan Krumholz and Rebecca Boubin were awarded the Christianity Award, Mr. Smith and Mrs. Berg acknowledged the graduating families and Rodney and Denise Gardner did the closing prayer. It was a lovely graduation Mass and banquet.
