4th Grade Recorder Recital

The fourth grade class recently finished their recorder unit by performing for friends and family on Thursday, May 10. The music room was packed and all of the applause felt good to the students after all of their hard work. The recorder (an instrument that resembles a clarinet) introduces fingering and breath control that are essential elements for future band students. They also get to practice note reading and the discipline of practicing at home. Thanks to all parents and siblings who encouraged the fourth graders to practice. They sounded awesome!
