National Geographic GeoBee
Each year St. Mary's School participates in the National Geographic Bee using the materials provided and prepared by the National Geographic Society. The bee is designed to challenge and motivate students to learn more about our world and its cultures.
3 Levels of Competition
The following students represented their grade levels at the competition. Congratulations to Lowell S. (4B), Alexandra H. (4W), Colton O. & Eric X. (5K), Reid O. (6S), Amanda C. (6O), Siri U. (7), Aaron G. (7), Jack S. (8) and Jonny C. (8) for participating in the school competition.
After the 8 rounds of questions, the field was narrowed down to the two finalists: Siri U. (7) and Jack S. (8). These two students competed in the championship round which lasted 8 rounds. Both students did a wonderful job! Congratulations to Jack for winning the St. Mary’s School GeoBee!
In January, Jack will take a state qualifying test. If he places within the top 100 students in the state of Minnesota, he will earn the right to compete at the state bee. Good luck, Jack!
