Preparation for Reconciliation

This month is a very special time in 2 ^nd grade because we are celebrating the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time!  Our students have been busy preparing since the start of the year, learning about our relationship with God, sin, the commandments, examining our conscience and learning the Act of Contrition prayer. We have visited the confessionals at church and have read a wonderful story about a young girl questioning the reasoning behind reconciliation called, The Confession of Grace, a wonderful read. We will be visiting with our priests before we receive on January 18 and 21, to ease any anxiety or answer any questions we may have. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for our young students as we excitedly await our big day to feel God’s grace!
