Kiwanis Citizens of the Year

Today we honored our school patrol team and learned about the Owatonna Public Library summer reading program. 

Golden K Club members Elmer Lamont and Roger Borchardt presented the elementary Citizen of the Year awards.

On Thursday morning the Owatonna Kiwanis Golden K Club presented citizenship awards to grades 2-6.

This award is presented to a member of a class, chosen by their teacher and peers. The person chosen is representative of a good citizen; they help others and respect the feelings and property of others.  This year recipients were: Mrs. Haarstad‘s class = Sadie, Mrs. Connor’s class = Noelle, Mrs. Chatelaine’s class = Chloe, Mrs. Johnson’s class = Joanna, Mrs. Bastyr’s class = Sophia, Mrs. Wobschall’s class = Kiley, Mrs. Kasper’s class = Laura, Mrs. Lattery‘s class = Jonathan, Mrs. Ginskey‘s class = Scot and Mrs. McCann’s class = Olivia.  Each student received a certificate, a bumper sticker and a pen. Congratulations to these students and their parents.
