November 16, 2016All 6-7-8th grade students and their parents are invited to participate in the Advent series Joyful. The first session, "She Said Yes" will be on Sunday, November 27th from 6:00-7:30 PM at St. Mary's School. More information on the program is provided below:
ABOUT THIS FAMILY SERIES
Who is Mary? What was it like for her to hear that she was
going to be the Mother of God? What did she do for nine
months while she prepared for Jesus’ birth? What would it
have been like to hold God in her arms and a little newborn
baby? What do all these events have to do with our lives?
Joyful is a Family Series all about Mary and the events
leading up to Christmas. It is a four night series that
walks middle school youth and their parents through
the events of the Annunciation, the Visitation, and the
Nativity ending with a joyous Christmas social. During this
time the youth and their parents will come to a greater
understanding of Mary and her journey to becoming
the Mother of God. Not only will they understand with
greater appreciation all her struggles, but they will also
be inspired by her joy to go forth and share the joy of
Christ with others.
