Seventy seventh and eighth grade students made the trip to St. Paul to March for Life as part of their Respect Life unit in religion and language arts classes. The day started with a prayer service for life at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Students were amazed by the high ceilings and ornate features, but surprised by the lack of restrooms. After a quick picture with Bishop Quinn, students began the walk to the state capitol. The weather cooperated with temperatures in the 20s, so the walk was really quite pleasant compared to other years! At the Veteran's Memorial Park in front of the capitol building, students prepared to listen to pro-life speakers, but since we had to make it back for OJHS classes, we had to leave just as the program was beginning. Students will continue their respect life unit when school resumes on Monday.
