8th Grade Courage Retreat!

8th graders had the opportunity to participate in a Courage Retreat led by Youth Frontiers. After a variety of games, small group discussions, and presentations by the facilitators, the day culminated with each student writing an act of courage that they would work to live out this school year and beyond. They were able to put a pebble into water to signify how their individual act of courage can ripple out and affect many. These acts of courage will help our 8th graders in their many leadership roles at SMS this school year!
